Location: College Avenue and Chester Road

Synopsis: Public Safety and Swarthmore Police responded to a vehicle and pedestrian accident involving a Swarthmore student at the corner of College Avenue and Chester Road. The student was transported to the Worth Health Center.

Status: Closed

 

Theft/Bicycles

Date: Wednesday, January 20, 2016

Time: 01:57 PM

Location: Wharton Residence Hall

Synopsis: Public Safety responded to Wharton Residence Hall to take a report for the theft of a bicycle. The value of the bicycle is $700.00. The bicycle was later found and returned to the owner.

Synopsis: Public Safety responded to Wharton Residence Hall for the report of an ill Swarthmore student. The student was transported to the hospital.

Location: Willets Residence Hall

Synopsis: Public Safety responded to Willets Residence Hall for a fire alarm. There was smoke but no fire. It was determined that the alarm was activated due to burned food.

Location: David Kemp Residence Hall

Synopsis: Public Safety responded to a fire alarm within David Kemp Residence Hall. There was no smoke or fire. It was determined that the alarm was activated by burned food.

Time: 12:49 PM

Location: Mary Lyons Residence Hall

Synopsis: Public Safety and Facilities responded to a fire alarm within Mary Lyons Residence Hall. The building was evacuated, but there was no smoke or fire. It was determined that the alarm was activated due to a malfunctioning smoke detector.

Synopsis: Public Safety responded to Willets Residence Hall for the report of a student in need of medical attention. The student was transported to the hospital.

Location: Phi Psi Fraternity House

Synopsis: Public Safety responded to a fire alarm within Phi Psi Fraternity House. Several occupants of the building had evacuated prior to Public Safety’s arrival, but there was no smoke or fire. It was determined that the alarm was activated by the pull station in the foyer.

Synopsis: Public Safety responded to a fire alarm within Worth Residence Hall. There was no smoke or fire. It was determined that the alarm was activated by burned food.

Purchase/Consumption/Possession/Transportation of Liquor or Malt or Brewed Beverages

Date: Sunday, January 24, 2016

Time: 02:12 AM

Location: Willets Residence Hall

Synopsis: Public Safety, Swarthmore Police and Ambulance responded to Willets Residence Hall for the report of an intoxicated student. The student was transported to the hospital and will be cited for underage drinking.

Accident – Crash

Date: Sunday, January 24, 2016

Time: 02:21 PM

Location: Fieldhouse Lane

Synopsis: Public Safety responded to Fieldhouse Lane for the report of a vehicle that had been struck while parked on Fieldhouse Lane. The damaged vehicle belongs to an employee of the College, but the striking vehicle is unknown at this time.
