Time: 8:29 a.m.

Location: 500 College Avenue

Synopsis: An EVS supervisor reported to Public Safety an unauthorized person in Wharton. The individual was identified as a student.

Status: Cleared

 

Criminal Mischief

Date: Monday, June3

Time: 8:25 a.m

Location: Worth Residence Hall

Synopsis: While on patrol, Public Safety discovered furniture from Worth Residence Hall brought outside and damaged due to the rainstorm. Value of property unknown at this time.

Time: 10:15 a.m

Location: Alice Paul Residence Hall

Synopsis: An EVS supervisor reported to Public Safety that furniture from Alice Paul was damaged because it had been placed outside in a rain storm. Value of property is unknown at this time.

Burglary/Unlawful Entry

Date: Monday, June 3

Time: 12:01 a.m.

Location: Lang Music Building

Synopsis: A student reported to Public Safety that a red velvet harp case was taken from the Harp Room in the Lang Music Building. Value is $200-$300.

Date: Tuesday, June 4

Time: 9:35 a.m.

Location: Papazian Hall

Synopsis: A staff member reported that there may have been an attempted burglary at the Engineering Shop in Papazian. Public Safety responded. It is unknown at this time if items are missing.

Date: Wednesday, June 5

Time: 2:58 p.m.

Location: Science Center

Synopsis: Public Safety received reports from two students about items that had been stolen from the Science Center. The value of the items is $150.

Marijuana possession/ Disorderly Conduct

Date: Wednesday, June 5

Time: 10:07 p.m.

Location: Crum Meadow

Synopsis: While on routine parole, Public Safety observed three males in Crum Woods with an authorized bonfire. Officers also found drug paraphernalia in the area and confiscated it. Subjects were cited by Swarthmore police for disorderly conduct. Swarthmore Fire Company extinguished the fire.

Status: Cleared/Arrest

 

Fire Alarm

Date: Thursday, June 6

Time: 6:16 a.m.

Location: Wharton Hall

Synopsis: Public Safety responded to a fire alarm within Wharton Residence Hall. The alarm was sounded due to work being done by EVS. No sign of smoke or fire. Alarm was reset.

Status: Cleared

 

Medical Emergency

Date: Thursday, June 6

Time: 4:10 p.m.

Location: Benjamin West House

Synopsis: A visitor to campus came into Public Safety because he fell in Bond Lot. Upon examination, an ambulance was requested. Swarthmore Police Department and Medic responded. After treatment by Medic, the individual refused ambulance service.

Status: Cleared

Date: Friday, June 7

Time: 12:00 a.m.

Location: Science Center

Synopsis: While on patrol, Public Safety discovered an alarm sounding in two Science Center Labs. Maintenance was notified. Labs were checked and it was discovered that the alarms were a malfunctioning fume hood alarm and an oxygen censor. The lab staff and Environmental Health and Safety were notified.

Status: Cleared

 

Forcible Fondling

Date: Friday, June 7

Time: 2:53 p.m.

Location: Wharton Residence Hall

Synopsis: A male resident student reported while at a party he was forcibly fondled by a known individual (unidentified) sometime between 11PM and 11:45PM. The date of the incident occurred sometime between September 14, 2012 and October 15, 2012.

Status: Title IX- Referral

Date: Friday, June 7

Synopsis:
Public Safety received a report from a student about the theft of his jacket from the Science Center. Value of the jacket was $40. Matter under investigation.

Location: Dupont Lot

Synopsis: Public Safety received a report about a suspicious vehicle with its lights on in the water tower lot. Individuals were identified.

Status: Inactive

 

Medical Emergency

Date: Saturday, June 8

Time: 2:42 a.m.

Location: Mertz Residence Hall

Synopsis: Public Safety heard a transmission over the scanner of an ambulance requested to Mertz Residence Hall. Public Safety, Swarthmore Police, and Ambulance responded. The individual was transported to the hospital.

Status: Cleared

 

Forced Fondling

Date: Saturday, June 8

Time: 12:58 p.m.

Location: Swarthmore College Campus

Synopsis: A female resident student reported that a friend (unidentified female resident student) reported to her that she was forcibly fondled by a known male resident student while attending a party on campus. The incident took place between August and December 2011. No additional information has been supplied at this time.

Location: Parrish Hall

Synopsis: An alumnus reported a theft of a laptop bag and Ipad from Parrish Hall. Value is $1,500. Matter under investigation.

Noise Complaint

Date: Sunday, June 9

Time: 2:33 a.m.

Location: Wharton Residence Hall

Synopsis: Public Safety received a report of a loud part in Wharton Courtyard. Upon arrival, Public Safety observed individual talking. The individuals were asked to quiet down and they complied without incident.

Status: Cleared

Time: 11:31 p.m.

Location: Crum Meadow

Synopsis: Public Safety received a report of a loud noise in the Crum. Public Safety responded and discovered a tree across a pathway. Grounds and Maintenance were notified.

Synopsis: An alumna reported a theft of a black bag from Parrish Hall. The value is unknown at this time. Matter is under investigation.
