Synopsis: A propane tank was found by a Public Safety Officer on a cart near the rear loading dock doors of Clothier Hall. A Facilities employee who was on the scene removed the tank.

Location: Softball Field Dugout Near 3rd Base
Synopsis: Softball coach reported vandalism in the dugout on the softball field. A Public Safety Officer responded and documented the damage. It was reported to Facilities for repairs. Officer cleared.

Firm Alarm
Date: Monday, June 24
Time: 2:27 p.m.
Location: Worth Residence Hall
Synopsis: Simplex reported a fire alarm at Worth J 204. Officers found no signs of smoke or fire, it appears the alarm was triggered by a nearby lightning strike. Alarm was reset by maintenance staff.

Location: Lang Performing Arts Center
Synopsis: Fire alarm was receive from within Lang Performing Arts Center. Officers responded and learned that a fog machine being used for a performance was the cause. The system was restored to normal.

Time: 10:47 p.m.
Location: Lamb Miller Fieldhouse
Synopsis: While on routine patrol, Officers noticed a group of youths at the baseball dugout. Upon identification, it was learned that two individuals were underage and had been drinking. Swarthmore Police were summoned and the two were cited for underage drinking/possession. The area was checked for damage and none was discovered.

Fire Alarm
Date: Wednesday, June 26
Time: 11:19 p.m.
Location: Sharples Dining Hall
Synopsis: Simplex reporting alarm coming from the beam detectors in Sharples Dining Hall. Officers responded and found that the alarm was set off by balloons. Facilities was notified to remove balloon and alarm was reset. Officers resumed patrol.

Synopsis: While on routine patrol, a Public Safety Officer saw an individual attempting to enter Lang Music Building, which was locked. After I.D. was confirmed, the person was informed that the building was closed.

Synopsis: Public Safety received a report of a forcible fondling via the online Clery Reporting system. No additional information was provided about the date, time location or the involved parties at this time. A timely warning was issued.

Synopsis: While on patrol, Public Safety observed two individuals who appeared to be intoxicated by the SEPTA train station. Swarthmore Police Department cited a male and female Swarthmore student for under-age drinking.

Location: Rutledge Avenue Elementary School
Synopsis: Public Safety assisted Swarthmore Police Department with the investigation and apprehension of a suspect involved in an assault of a non-Swarthmore student. The incident took place at the Swarthmore Rutledge Elementary School near campus but on a non-campus property.

Synopsis: During an interview, a female student reported knowing about five female individuals who stated that they were allegedly sexually assaulted by a known male student who is not currently on campus. At this time, the reporting person did not supply any information about time frames, locations, witnesses or the alleged victims’ names. Matter under investigation.

Fire Alarm
Date: Monday, July 1
Time: 12:50 p.m.
Location: Bond Residential Lodges
Synopsis: Public Safety received a fire alarm within Bond Lodges. Public Safety and Facilities responded and upon investigation it was determined that dust from construction work set off the smoke detector. Contractors propped open a nearby door to ventilate and officers were able to reset the alarm. Facilities covered the detectors to keep dust from setting the devices off again.
