Medical Emergency

Date: Wednesday, April 3
Time: 11:13-11:38 a.m.
Location: Sharples Dining Hall
Synopsis: Public Safety responded to the report of a female student in Sharples Dining Hall who was in need of assistance. Upon evaluation, a Swarthmore Ambulance was requested for transport to the hospital.
Status: Cleared

Date: Thursday, April 4
Time: 1:37-1:58 p.m.
Location: Sharples Dining Hall
Synopsis: Public Safety was called to Sharples Dining Hall and escorted a female student to Worth Health Center.
Status: Cleared

 

Fire Alarm

Date: Thursday, April 4
Time: 3:30 p.m.
Location: Willets Residence Hall
Synopsis: Public Safety and Facilities responded to a fire alarm in Willets Residence Hall. Public Safety checked the area and no fire or smoke were observed
Status: Cleared

 

Harassment by Communication/ Terroristic Threats

Date: Monday, April 1-Thursday, April 4
Time: 2:56 a.m. April 1 – 3:00 a.m. April 4
Location: Benjamin West House
Synopsis: A female resident student received a threatening message on a mini-blog site. Matter is under investigation.
Status: Investigation

 

Assistance to other Police Department

Date: Friday, April 5
Time: 12:14-12:34 a.m.
Location: Swarthmore College
Synopsis: Swarthmore Police had a vehicle stop in front of Palmer Residence Hall. The vehicle was operated by an EVC employee on his way to work. The initial cause of the traffic strop was running a red light at the intersection of Yale and Chester Road.
Status: Cleared

 

Fire

Date: Saturday, April 6
Time: 10:42-11:05 pm.
Location: Crum Meadow
Synopsis: Swarthmore Police reported an unattended campfire in the Crum Meadow. Public Safety officers responded and extinguished the fire with fire extinguishers.
Status: Cleared

 

Student Intoxication

Date: Saturday, April 6
Time: 10:00-10:03 p.m.
Location: Lamb Miller Field House
Synopsis: A male student attempting to enter the concert venue at the Field House entrance was determined to be intoxicated by the Swarthmore Police was cited for under-age drinking. The student was transported by Public Safety to Worth Health Center for evaluation.
Status: Cleared/Arrested

 

Student Intoxication

Date: Saturday, April 6
Time: 11:15-11:28 p.m.
Location: Lamb Miller Field House
Synopsis: An intoxicated female student was transported by Public Safety from the Field House to Worth Health Center for evaluation by the on-duty nurse. The student was cited by Swarthmore Police for underage drinking.
Status: Cleared/Arrested

 

Student Intoxication 

Date: Sunday, April 7
Time: 12:40 a.m.
Location: Lamb Miller Field House
Synopsis: A male student who was attempting to enter the concert venue at the Field House entrance was determined to be intoxicated by the Swarthmore Police and was cited for public drunkenness. The student was then transported by Public Safety to Worth Health Center for evaluation by the on-duty nurse.
Status: Cleared/Arrested

Time: 1:51 a.m.
Location: Lamb Miller Field House
Synopsis: Swarthmore Police reported that a male student was attempting to enter the concert venue at the Field House entrance, was determined to be intoxicated, and was cited for under-age drinking.
Status: Cleared/Arrested

 

Marijuana Possession and Consumption

Date: Sunday, April 7
Time: 2:22 a.m.
Location: Squash Courts
Synopsis: Public Safety Officers observed several persons in possession of and consuming marijuana just outside of the squash courts. The persons were interviewed and identified.
Status: Dean’s Referral

 

Assistance to Other Police Department

Date: Sunday, April 7
Time: 4:25-4:50 p.m.
Location: Walnut Lane
Synopsis: Public Safety assisted Springfield Police in apprehending a suspect near properties on Walnut Lane. The subject was taken into custody and officers returned to patrol without incident.
Status: Cleared

 

Fire Alarm

Date: Sunday, April 7
Time: 7:56-8:01 p.m.
Location: David Kemp Residence Hall
Synopsis: Public Safety responded to a fire alarm within David Kemp Residence Hall. The cause of the alarm was burnt food. There was no sign of fire. Officers reset alarm and resumed patrol.
Status: Cleared

  1. Good thing the officers got ALL FOUR of the underage drinkers at LSE! Such amazing cops here, being able to distinguish those four lawbreakers from the other 996 innocent students
