Synopsis: In accordance with the regulations of the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry, a fire drill was conducted within Papazian Hall by Swarthmore Public Safety.

Synopsis: An anonymous report of hazing was received via the online Clery Crime Reporting webpage. The exact date, time, location, victim and respondent’s identity are unknown at this time. The matter is under investigation.

Synopsis: Public Safety received a report of vandalism to a tree located near the Heat Plant/Tunnel Area. Public Safety responded and then documented damage. Photos attached to report. Matter under investigation.

Synopsis: A staff member reported an incident of sexual harassment to the Title IX Coordinator. Matter under investigation.

Location: Worth Residence Hall
Synopsis: Public Safety responded to a fire alarm within Worth Residence Hall. The area was checked and there was no sign of smoke or fire. It was determined that a male resident student was burning incense. Facilities and Residence Life were notified.

Sexual Assault

Time: 2:17 a.m.
Location: Swarthmore College Campus
Synopsis: On 11/19/13 a report was made via the online Clery Reporting Form about a sexual assault of a student that occurred in the fall of 2012 at or around the time of the Halloween Party on campus. The complainant and location are unknown at this time. Matter under investigation.

Location: Sharples Dining Hall
Synopsis: Public Safety received a report from a female resident student that her bike was vandalized and parts of the bike stolen from behind Sharples Dining Hall. The value of the items is unknown at this time. Matter is under investigation.

Location: Phi Psi Fraternity House
Synopsis: Public Safety responded to Phi Psi Fraternity House for the report of a fire. Upon arrival, a small contained fire was extinguished and the smoke was cleared. It was determined that a mop had caught on fire and when extinguished caused the smoke.

Crime Prevention, Awareness Bulletin Notification

Synopsis: Public Safety posted an Awareness Bulletin concerning two thefts of clothing from the locker rooms within the Lamb Miller Field House. The Bulletin included tips on keeping valuables and personal items secured.

Synopsis: A caller reported in the attic room 470 C in Parrish Hall, the doors are open and the alarm was not set. A Public Safety Officer stated that maintenance is also on location and will be putting a window back in place and securing it closed.

Synopsis: A staff member reported that two buses were involved in a minor accident on Fieldhouse Lane. At the time of this report none of the involved parties reported injuries.

Synopsis: A male resident student reported a wallet, laptop, phone charger and multiple other items stolen from within Parrish Hall.
11/25/2013 Swarthmore Police returned the wallet which was found within the borough to the male resident student. Some items within the wallet were still reported missing. – JAG Matter under investigation.
