Synopsis: The Director and Associate Director of Public Safety conducted a presentation for the New Employee orientation.

Synopsis: Public Safety received a report from a College employee of an unidentified male walking into an office in the Science Center. The area was checked with negative results.

Synopsis: A College employee contacted Public Safety and the Grounds Department via email regarding a possible safety hazard of tree limbs over parked cars in Dupont Lot.

Synopsis: Public Safety received information in reference to a mailed package that was confiscated from the Philadelphia Federal Express building. Matter under investigation.

Location: Wharton Residence Hall
Synopsis: Public Safety responded to Wharton Residence Hall for the report of a male resident student in need of medical assistance. After evaluation, the student refused medical treatment at this time.

Fire Alarm

Date: Wednesday, October 2
Time: 1:33 p.m.
Location: Palmer Residence Hall
Synopsis: Public Safety responded to a fire alarm within Palmer Residence Hall. There was no sign of smoke or fire. Public Safety was notified that the cause of the alarm was due to a water leak above a smoke detector. Facilities was notified and the problem corrected.

Investigation of Privacy

Date: Wednesday, October 2
Time: 2:02 p.m.
Location: McCabe Library
Synopsis: Library staff notified Public Safety of a report of a contractor seeing an older male video-taping a female non student. Public Safety and Swarthmore Police Department responded and the individual was escorted out of the building and arrested.
Status: Cleared/Arrested

Location: Science Center
Synopsis: Public Safety responded to the Science Center for a male resident student reporting a theft of an athletic jacket. The value of the jacket is $80. The matter is under investigation.

Location: Parrish Hall
Synopsis: Public Safety responded to Parrish Hall for a report of an unconscious male resident student. Upon arrival the individual was alert and escorted to Worth Health Center for evaluation.

Synopsis: Public Safety responded to Wharton Lot for a report of two individuals acting in a disorderly manner. The individuals were identified as two male resident students. The students were advised to relocate to the soccer fields.

Synopsis: Public Safety responded to Dana Residence Hall for the transport of an intoxicated female resident student to Worth Health Center.

Date: Sunday, October 6
Time: 5:11 a.m.
Location: Dana Residence Hall
Synopsis: Public Safety responded to a report of an unconscious individual within Dana Residence Hall. Upon arrival, the individual was conscious and identified as a female resident student. Upon evaluation, it was determined that the student could return to her room.

Time: 11:37 a.m.
Location: Worth Health Center
Synopsis: Public Safety and Swarthmore Police and Ambulance responded to Worth Health Center to transport a female resident student to Springfield Hospital.
