Theft

Date: Wednesday, September 26
Time: 8:06 p.m.
Location: Parrish Hall
Synopsis: A female staff member reported the theft of a purse from a handbag. The value of the item and it’s contents is valued at approximately $150.
Status: Inactive

 

Fire Alarm 

Date: Friday, September 28
Time: 5:25 a.m.
Location: Woolman Residence Hall
Synopsis: A fire alarm was reported on the third floor of Woolman Hall. Public Safety and Facilities responded and conducted a search of the area with negative results. The alarm was reset without incident and all personnel cleared the scene.
Status: Closed

 

Safety Hazard 

Date: Friday, September 28
Time: 11:10 p.m.
Location: Parrish Hall
Synopsis: A public safety officer on routine patrol observed a student on the scaffolding besides the dome area of the building. Investigation determined that several students were actually on the scaffolding. The individuals were identified. The area was checked and secured.
Status: Dean’s Referral

 

Medical Response  

Date: Saturday, September 29
Time: 1:17 p.m.
Location: Sharples Dining Hall
Synopsis: Public Safety Officers responded to the report of a staff member who had slipped and fell. The employee was transported to the hospital for evaluation by Public Safety. Information forwarded to appropriate college personnel for further action.
Status: Closed

 

Liquor Law Violation 

Date: Sunday, September 30
Time: 12:43 a.m.
Location: Worth Health Center
Synopsis: A juvenile student was evaluated by Worth Health Center and transported to the hospital for alcohol Intoxication. Emergency responders arrived and transported the student for treatment. Swarthmore Police also responded and the individual was cited for underage drinking. Director of Public Safety and on-call dean were notified. The student was returned to campus serveral hours later and taken to the Health Center.
Status: Cleared/Arrested

 

Intoxicated Student  

Date: Sunday, September 30
Time: 2:23 a.m.
Location: Dana Residence Hall
Synopsis: A Resident Assistant reported to Public Safety that a male resident student was intoxicated and needed assistance to the Health Center for alcohol intoxication. Public Safety responded and transported the male to the Health Center.
Status: Dean’s Referral

 

Suspicious Vehicle 

Date: Sunday, September 30
Time: 2:59 a.m.
Location: Fraternity Houses
Synopsis: Two male alumni were observed within a vehicle parked outside of the Fraternity Houses. One male was reclined sleeping in the passenger side seat, and the second male was laying in the back seat. Both had attended a sporting event and were resting prior to returning home to New York.
Status: Closed
