Sharples Cookbook: Episode 3 “Sriracha Mayo Panini”

September 29, 2015

Editor’s note: This article was initially published in The Daily Gazette, Swarthmore’s online, daily newspaper founded in Fall 1996. As of Fall 2018, the DG has merged with The Phoenix. See the about page to read more about the DG.

Sometimes you just gotta spice things up. There was a recent study that correlated eating spicy food to living longer lives. I’m not so sure about how scientific it was but I like spicy things. So, this week I made a sriracha mayo sauce infused with lemon juice and sugar. This sauce is about as versatile as it gets. Put it on any type of sandwich or put it on your fries (I decided to put it in a turkey panini – I highly recommend this). Put in a little bit of Sriracha or a lot of Sriracha. The recipe is super flexible and perfect for anyone’s t-buds. Enjoy the noms. You can thank me in 2075.

Sharples Cookbook will be taking a break until after fall break. See y’all in a few.
