Fire Alarm

Location: Kohlberg Hall
Synopsis: Public Safety responded to a fire alarm within Kohlberg Hall. Upon arrival, there was no sign of smoke or fire. It was determined that the alarm malfunctioned. Facilities notified.

Synopsis: Information received in reference to a fall, involving a child at the Trinity Lutheran Church. The incident took place on 10-24-14. Appropriate notifications have been made. Matter under investigation.

Medical Emergency

Date: Tuesday, November 25
Time: 3:19 pm
Location: Worth Health Center
Synopsis: Public Safety, Swarthmore Police and Media Ambulance responded to Worth Health Center for the report of an ill Swarthmore resident student. Investigation determined that the illness was due to the use of an illegal substance. The student was transported to the hospital. Matter referred to Dean’s office.

Date: Tuesday, November 25
Time: 7:58 pm
Location: Lang Performing Arts Ctr.
Synopsis: Public Safety was dispatched to LPAC for the report of an ill student. Once on location, the student requested to speak to the on call nurse; no medical attention was needed. The student was then escorted to her residence hall by Public Safety

Criminal Mischief

Date: Tuesday, November 25
Time: 9:49 pm
Location: Willets Residence Hall
Synopsis: Public Safety responded to Willets Residence Hall for the report of an injured student. Investigation determined that the incident occurred at the DU Fraternity when a resident student struck a glass window. The student was intoxicated at the time of the incident. The student was transported to the hospital for treatment. Matter referred to the Dean’s Office for further action.

Time: 6:40 pm
Location: Alice Paul Residence Hall
Synopsis: Public Safety responded to Alice Paul Residence Hall for a fire alarm. Upon arrival, there was smoke but no fire. Investigation determined that the alarm was activated by cooking. System reset without incident.

Criminal Mischief

Date: Sunday, November 30
Time: 6:40 pm
Location: Tunnel Area
Synopsis: Public Safety received a report from a Swarthmore resident student about damage to a poster hanging in the tunnel area. The matter is under investigation.
