This month, the international body responsible for finding and destroying chemical weapons in Syria begins its search. Backed by a UN Security Council resolution, the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons – or OPCW – now has the substantial task of cleaning up Syria’s WMDs by mid-2014 – even as civil war continues.
