Synopsis: A Public Safety officer on routine patrol in DU Fraternity House observed fire safety hazards. The officer advised the resident and the matter was addressed. Facilities and the Dean’s Office were advised.

Synopsis: Public Safety responded to the report of a Swarthmore employee’s vehicle that had been damaged while parked. There were no injuries. The matter is under investigation.

Synopsis: Public Safety officers responded to the report of a College employee who has received a harassing voicemail. The matter is under investigation.

Synopsis: While on patrol, Public Safety observed a vehicle going too fast and failing to observe a stop sign. The vehicle was stopped and the driver identified as a Swarthmore student. The matter was referred to the Dean’s Office.

Location: Swarthmore SEPTA Station

Synopsis: Public Safety responded to the exterior of Alice Paul and David Kemp for a noise complaint. It was determined that three Swarthmore students were shouting and throwing bottles in the SEPTA train station parking lot. The matter was referred to the Dean’s Office.

Synopsis: Public Safety responded to Alice Paul Residence Hall for an activated smoke detector alarm. It was determined that the detector was malfunctioning. Facilities was notified.

Synopsis: Public Safety responded to the report of a non-Swarthmore student who would not a leave a Swarthmore student’s room in Worth Residence Hall. The individual was identified and left campus without incident. The matter was referred to the Dean’s Office and Title IX Office.

Synopsis: Public Safety assisted a visitor to campus with a vehicle that had broken down in Bond Lot.

Synopsis: Public Safety responded to Parrish Hall for an activated fire alarm. There was smoke but no fire. It was determined that cooking had activated the alarm.

Synopsis: Public Safety responded to Willets Residence Hall for the report of an ill Swarthmore student. It was determined that the student had consumed alcohol and edible marijuana. The matter was referred to the Dean’s Office.

Location: Worth Residence Hall

Synopsis: Public Safety responded to a fire alarm in Worth Residence Hall. There was no smoke or fire. It was determined that smoking activated the alarm. During the alarm, Swarthmore students were not evacuating the building. The matter was referred to the Dean’s Office.
