Sexual Assault

Synopsis: Public Safety was notified through a third-party report that a Swarthmore student was sexually assaulted at a registered social event in March 2016. No information as to the specifics of the incident or the individuals involved was provided. Matter has been referred to the Title IX Office.

Location: Willets Residence Hall
Synopsis: Public Safety and Facilities responded to the report of a trash can fire at the exterior of Willets Residence Hall. There was smoke but no fire. Smoke was extinguished and the trash can was emptied.

Synopsis: Public Safety and Facilities responded to a fire alarm within David Kemp Residence Hall. There was smoke but no fire. It was determined that the alarm was activated due to burned food.

Synopsis: Public Safety responded to Woolman Residence Hall for a smoke detector alarm. There was no smoke or fire. It was determined that the alarm was activated due to the guest of a Swarthmore student smoking within a residence.

Synopsis: Public Safety received a report of a power outage within Mary Lyon Residence Hall. PECO was contacted. Power was restored without incident.

Synopsis: Public Safety received a report from the Title IX Coordinator that a student reported dating violence and stalking by a fellow Swarthmore student. Matter has been referred to the Title IX Office.
