Suspicious Odor

Synopsis: Public Safety responded to the report of a gas/oil odor in the Wharton courtyard area. The source of odor was determined to be construction equipment.

Synopsis: Public Safety responded to Beardsley Hall for an odor of something burning. Upon investigation, no odor was found.

Synopsis: Public Safety received a report about a Swarthmore student offering a fellow Swarthmore student illegal substances. Matter is under investigation.

Synopsis: Public Safety received a report from a Swarthmore College student about inappropriate physical contact from an unknown male during a party. Matter under investigation and referred to the Title IX Coordinator.

Noise Complaint

Date: Saturday, September 19, 2015
Time: 07:34 PM
Location: Worth Residence Hall
Synopsis: Public Safety received an anonymous report about a loud party in Worth courtyard. It was also reported that there was a strong odor of marijuana. Officers responded; there was no odor of marijuana. The party host complied with officers’ request to turn down the music.

Synopsis: Public Safety received a report of a 40-50 year old white male in the stairwell of David Kemp. Officers responded and identified the individual as a parent of a student.

Fire Alarm

Date: Sunday, September 20, 2015
Time: 12:50 AM
Location: Delta Upsilon Fraternity House
Synopsis: Public Safety responded to a fire alarm within Delta Upsilon Fraternity House. There was no sign of smoke or fire. It was determined that an unknown person had pulled the alarm.

Location: Mary Lyons 4
Synopsis: Public Safety responded to a fire alarm within Mary Lyon Residence Hall. There was no sign of fire but there was smoke. The cause for activation was burned food.
