Editor’s note: This article was initially published in The Daily Gazette, Swarthmore’s online, daily newspaper founded in Fall 1996. As of Fall 2018, the DG has merged with The Phoenix. See the about page to read more about the DG.
Student Resource Guide
CamCo stated its dedication to finishing the Student Resource Guide and launching it online, hopefully within the next month. The guide adds student input to information that readers can find on Swarthmore’s website. There are 30 remaining entries that need added content and all entries still need editing.

CamCo will also potentially help organize a sober escort program for Genderfuck.
Student Government

Allergy Room
CamCo wants to add more information about allergy room meals to the Dash.
Ally Workshops

All information provided by CamCo Co-President Lanie Schlessinger ’15.
Once again, it’s kinda weird that reporters aren’t being allowed in the meetings and StuCo is telling them what to report, especially since they used to be able to do so up until a few weeks ago. Not exactly a hallmark of transparency…
Classic stuco, oops , camco. *Potentially* making marginal changes to marginal aspects of campus life one weekly meeting at a time. Exciting stuff guys, keep up the, well, keep it up.
How disappointing.
Per the CamCo minutes released on 3/2:
“10. Create Charts/Graphics to make the jobs of CamCo and Student Assembly visible/understandable to the StuBod”
Per the CamCo minutes released on 2/16
“- Sharples Tabling: Public Relations between StuCo and StuBod to promote communication between student council and student body”
Clearly, communicating with the student body is something that CamCo says is on its list of priorities. If this is the case, then why can’t external student writers, like those from the DG cover the meetings? As the article above shows, when CamCo covers their own meetings, there’s a lot left out. How should I know what CamCo is doing if all I can see is one line blurbs about what happened?
