This month, the international body responsible for finding and destroying chemical weapons in Syria begins its search. Backed by a UN Security Council resolution, the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons – or OPCW – now has the substantial task of cleaning up Syria’s WMDs by mid-2014 – even as civil war continues. War News Radio’s Amy DiPierro ’15, Maggie Christ ’17, and Rachel Sassella ’17 discover why getting inspectors on the ground is just the beginning of the challenges ahead.
