Synopsis: Public Safety received a report from a male resident student that he was approached by an individual at the train station asking for food. Public Safety and Swarthmore Police Department responded and identified the male. Swarthmore Police Department escorted the individual off campus.

Location: Hicks Hall
Synopsis: Public Safety reported a possible safety hazard regarding a propane tank in Hicks Hall. Propane tank was brought outside. Staff was notified.

Synopsis: Public Safety responded to the report by an EVS Supervisor of students on the dugout at the softball field. The student was identified and left field without incident.

Synopsis: An EVS employee reported a female sleeping in Wharton Residence Hall. Public Safety responded and identified the individual as a guest of a student. The individual left without incident.

Burglary/Attempted Forcible Entry

Date: Thursday, May 30
Time: 10:01 a.m.
Location: Science Center Coffee Bar
Synopsis: A Dining Services employee reported the wooden door to access the Science Center Coffee Bar storeroom is damaged from someone attempting to gain entry. Public Safety responded. At this time, it is unknown if there are missing items. A report was taken and photos to document the damage. Maintenance was notified.

Fire Alarm

Date: Thursday, May 30

Location: Fire Alarm
Synopsis: Public Safety received a fire alarm within Alice Paul Residence Hall. Students evacuated the building. Public Safety responded and checked the building. There was no sign of smoke or fire. It was determined that the alarm was caused due to cooking. Timing of this report is off due to shift change.

Synopsis: Public Safety received the report of a male sleeping in Wharton Residence Hall lounge. The individual was identified as a student and will be leaving today.

Synopsis: Public Safety received a report from an EVS employee that an unidentified individual was sleeping in Willets Residence Hall. The individual was identified as an alum and left without incident.

Location: Wharton Residence Hall
Synopsis: Public Safety received a report for an intoxicated male. Upon arrival, Public Safety requested an ambulance. Student was cited for Public Drunkenness.

Driving Under the Influence

Date: Saturday, June 1
Time: 2:55 a.m.
Location: College Ave.
Synopsis: While on patrol, Public Safety found an unidentified male unconscious and in his vehicle. Swarthmore Police and Ambulance were called and the individual was taken into custody.

Synopsis: While on Patrol, Public Safety reports that the four flags on the lamp posts along Parrish Walkway are broken and out of the holder. Maintenance notified.

Synopsis: Public Safety took a report from a student for the theft of a chair from Student Storage. Value of the chair unknown at this time.

Synopsis: A Dining Services employee reported a student, who was told not be on campus by Dean Rachel Head sitting in Sharples Dining Hall. Public Safety responded. The student had left and could not be located. Matter under investigation.

Synopsis: A Dining Services employee reported to Public Safety a sick individual in the Clothier Hall Snack Bar. Public Safety and Swarthmore Ambulance responded.

Synopsis: Public Safety received a report from a staff member stating $60.00 in cash was stolen from a purse.

Synopsis: A female resident student reported via email that she was sexually assaulted while attending a party within Sharples Hall by a known male resident student.

Date: Monday, June 3
Time: 2:28 a.m.
Location: Worth Residence Hall
Synopsis: Public Safety responded to a fire alarm within Worth Residence Hall. The cause of the alarm was a fire extinguisher being discharged. Alarm was reset.
