Fire Alarm 

Date: Monday, November 26
Time: 10:00 a.m.
Location: Phi Psi Fraternity House
Synopsis: A fire alarm was received from within the Phi Si Fraternity House. The cause of the alarm was steam. There was no sign of smoke or fire. Public Safety responded and reset the alarm.
Status: Cleared

 

Harassment/Stalking  

Date: Monday,  November 26
Time: 12:05 p.m.
Location: Mertz Residence Hall
Synopsis: A male resident student reported being harassed by another male resident student. Matter referred to Residential Life and Dean of Students.
Status: Dean’s Referral

 

Sexual Assault  

Date: Monday, November 26
Time: 5:49 p.m.
Location: Location Unknown
Synopsis: Title IX Coordinator reported to the Department of Public Safety that a female resident student reported being sexually assaulted by a male resident student. The exact date of the incident is unknown at this time. It is known to have occurred within a campus residence hall sometime during the Spring (April) 2012 school semester. This matter is being investigated at this time.

Harassment by Communication 

Date: Monday, November 26
Time: 6:15 p.m.
Location: David Kemp Residence Hall
Synopsis: A  female resident student reported receiving a harassing phone call from an unknown male caller.
Status: Investigation

 

Theft 

Date: Wednesday,  November 28
Time: 12:45 p.m.
Location: Lamb Miller Field House
Synopsis: A Swarthmore employee reported an iPhone 3 stolen from the field house. The value of the phone is approximately $300. Matter under investigation.
Status: Investigation

 

Sexual Assault  

Date: Friday, November 30
Time: 10:00 a.m.
Location: Unknown Location
Synopsis: A female student reported being touched inappropriately by a male student. Matter under investigation.
Status: Investigation

Underage Drinking 

Date: Saturday, December 1
Time: 1:37 a.m.
Location: Mertz Residence Hall
Synopsis: A student was evaluated and transported to the hospital for excessive alcohol consumption. Student was cited by Swarthmore Police Department for underage drinking.
Status: Cleared/Arrested

 

Fire Alarm 

Date: Sunday, December 2
Time: 6:06 p.m.
Location: Dana Residence hall
Synopsis: A fire alarm was received from within Dana Hall basement kitchen for a smoke alarm. Alarm was caused by burnt cooking. The area was aired out and the alarm was reset.
Status: Cleared
