Field Hockey

Sophia Agathis ’13 scored her 20th career goal on Saturday in a 6-1 victory over Dickinson. Agathis opened the scoring with a backhand flip as the Garnet picked up its first Centennial win of the year.

Nia Jones ’14 picked up her 50th career point with a pair of goals against Dickinson in a 6-1 win on Saturday. Jones is second on the team with 11 points through eight games.

Catie Meador ’13 picked up her 20th career point with a penalty stroke goal to cap the scoring in a 6-1 victory over Dickinson on Saturday.  The stroke was given for an obstruction call in the circle and Meador converted for the sixth time on seven attempts in her career.

Aarti Rao ’14 handed out her 10th career assist as part of a two-assist performance in Saturday’s 6-1 victory over Dickinson.  Rao was dominant, controlling the midfield and springing Jones in the first half and Anne Rosenblatt in the second for her two helpers.

Julia Tallarico ’13 earned her first career assist on a first-half penalty corner in Saturday’s 6-1 victory over Dickinson. Tallarico’s direct shot was directed home by Katie Teleky to give the Garnet a 2-0 lead.

Katie Teleky ’13 scored her 30th career goal  and earned her 70th career point in Wednesday’s 4-2 loss at Ursinus. Teleky, who also scored a pair of goals against the Bears last year, has scored eight goals in eight games in her senior campaign. With 32 goals, Teleky is tied for 6th in program history and with 72 points, Teleky is eighth in team history.

Men’s Soccer

Joe Keedy ’14 scored his first career goal with 61 seconds remaining in Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Dickinson. Keedy could hardly have picked a better time as his flicked-on header from a Jake Weiner service secured the Garnet a point against the defending Centennial Champions.

Mike Stewart ’15 earned his 20th career point with a second minute goal against Stevens Tech in Wednesday’s 2-1 overtime loss. With 20 points in just 26 games, Stewart is now tied for the team’s active points lead.

Jake Weiner ’14 earned his first career point with an assist on Keedy’s goal in Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Dickinson. With the Garnet pressing for the equalizer late, Weiner’s perfectly weighted delivery was directed into the top corner by Keedy from the center of the box.

Volleyball

Allie Coleman ’13 continued her climb up the Swarthmore Volleyball record charts with her 2800th career assist in a straight sets win on Wednesday at Ursinus to open Centennial Conference play. Coleman also picked up her 150th career ace  in that match.  On Saturday, Coleman recorded her 800th career dig in a straight sets win over Dickinson as the Garnet improved to 2-0 in Centennial play.

Women’s Soccer

Emma Sindelar ’14 earned her 30th career point as part of a two-goal performance in Wednesday’s 2-1 victory at Ursinus.  Sindelar, in just 25 career games, is now the team’s active leader in career points. She has played a part in the team’s last four tallies overall with three goals and an assist as the Garnet moved to 2-0-0 in Centennial play.
