Later this week the Large-Scale Events Committee is expected to announce that The Roots, a Philadelphia-based alternative hip-hop group, will play at Swarthmore in November.

Brooklyn-based retro rockers Earl Greyhound played Olde Club on Saturday night, to great success. “During a recent Earl Greyhound show, one audience member turned to another and said, ‘Why aren’t they signed to a major yet?’ ‘They’re still playing,’ his friend quipped.”

Hip hop artists Rebel Diaz performed in Olde Club Friday night, rapping about such topics as immigration reform, Puerto Rican independence, women's rights, and, of course, revolution.
