Synopsis: Public Safety responded to the report of a package that was delivered to a Swarthmore employee by an unknown individual not associated with the college. Matter under investigation.

Time: 1:10 AM

Location: McCabe Library

Synopsis: Public Safety responded to an intrusion alarm in McCabe Library. lt was determined that a Swarthmore employee activated the alarm accidentally.

Time: 10:47 AM

Location: Sharples Dining Hall

Synopsis: Public Safety and Facilities responded to the report of an odor of natural gas at Sharples Dining Hall. The area was checked with negative results. Facilities will investigate further.

Synopsis: Public Safety responded to the report of an unknown individual, not associated with the College, asleep in Parrish Hall. The individual was identified and left without incident. Swarthmore Police were notified.

Location: Sharples Dining Hall

Synopsis: Public Safety responded to Sharples Dining Hall for the report of an individual refusing to leave who was not affiliated with the College. The individual was identified and left without incident. Swarthmore Police notified.

Synopsis: While on patrol, Public Safety discovered leakage in the ceiling at Lang Music Building. Facilities notified.

Location: PPR Apartments

Synopsis: Public Safety responded to a fire alarm in PPR Apartments. It was determined that the alarm was activated due to cooking.

Synopsis: Public Safety responded to the report of the kitchen light in the Danawell Residence Hall kitchen hanging too low. Facilities notified.

Location: Palmer Residence Hall

Synopsis: Public Safety responded to a smoke detector alarm in Palmer Residence Hall. It was determined that the detector had malfunctioned. Facilities notified.

Synopsis: Public Safety and Swarthmore Police responded to an intrusion alarm at the College Bookstore at the Inn at Swarthmore. lt was determined that the alarm was activated by staff opening for the day.

Synopsis: Public Safety responded to the report of an ill Swarthmore student at Dana Residence Hall. It was determined that the student was intoxicated. After evaluation, it was determined that no further medical treatment was necessary. Matter referred to the Dean’s office.

Synopsis: Public Safety responded to the report of an ill Swarthmore student at Danawell Residence Hall. It was determined that the student was intoxicated. After evaluation it was determined that the student was intoxicated. The student was transported to the hospital for further medical treatment. Matter referred to the Dean’s office.
