Synopsis: Public Safety responded to Alice Paul Residence Hall for the report of eggs thrown at the exterior balcony. Officers were able to determine the eggs were not recent. Matter under investigation.

Synopsis: Public Safety and the Office of Student Engagement responded to Parrish Lawn for the report of an ill Swarthmore student. The student was evaluated and it was determined that further medical treatment was not necessary.

Synopsis: While on patrol, Public Safety observed an ill Swarthmore student at the exterior of Phi Psi Fraternity. After evaluation, it was determined that the student was intoxicated but no further medical treatment was necessary. Matter referred to the Dean’s office.

Synopsis: Public Safety and Facilities responded to a fire alarm in Beardsley Hall. There was no smoke or fire. It was determined that the cause for the alarm was cooking.

Synopsis: Public Safety responded to assist a Swarthmore College employee with making a police report to Swarthmore Police about an accident that had happened on Elm Avenue and Whittier Place.

Synopsis: Public Safety responded to a fire alarm in Worth Residence Hall. There was no smoke or fìre. It was determined that a smoke detector had been tampered with. Matter referred to the Dean’s office.

Location: Wharton Residence Hall

Synopsis: Public Safety, Swarthmore Police and Ambulance responded to the report of an ill Swarthmore student at Wharton Residence Hall. After evaluation it was determined that the student had ingested edible marijuana. The student declined further medical treatment. Swarthmore Police cited the student for use of a controlled substance.

Update: The student will not be cited by Swarthmore Police. Matter referred to the Dean’s office.

Synopsis: Public Safety, Swarthmore Police and Ambulance responded to the report of an ill Swarthmore student at Clothier Hall. After evaluation it was determined that the student was intoxicated. The student declined further medical treatment. The student will be cited for underage drinking.

Synopsis: Public Safety responded to a noise complaint in Wharton Residence Hall. The students left the area. Public Safety returned again after a second complaint and the students left without incident.

Synopsis: While on patrol, Public Safety discovered a ballard missing from Parrish East, leaving a hole in the ground. The ballard was placed back in its moorings.

Location: Palmer Residence Hall

Synopsis: While on patrol, Public Safety discovered vandalism to two emergency exit signs in Palmer Residence Hall. The value of the signs is unknown at this time. Matter under investigation.
