Dorm Room Smoke Detector Alarm

Location: Mary Lyon Residence Hall

Synopsis: Public Safety responded to Mary Lyon Residence Hall for an activated smoke detector. There was no smoke or fire. It was determined that the use of a hair dryer had activated the alarm.

Location: Parrish Hall

Synopsis: Public Safety and Facilities responded to Parrish Hall for an activated fire alarm. There was no smoke or fire. It was determined that a steam leak from a pipe had activated the alarm. Facilities remained on site to repair the leak.

Synopsis: Public Safety received a report from a Swarthmore student about the theft of their Beats headphones from Beardsley Hall. The value of the item is $250.00. The matter is under investigation.

Synopsis: While on patrol, Public Safety observed five Swarthmore students smoking marijuana. The students were identified, and the matter was referred to the Dean’s Office.
