Synopsis: Public Safety responded to Willets Residence Hall for the report of vandalism that was discovered on a corkboard outside one of the dorm rooms.

Fire
Date: Monday, November 14, 2016
Time: 01:56 PM
Location: Magill Walk
Synopsis: Public Safety and Facilities responded to Magill Walk for the report of a lawn mower on fire. It was determined that the fire was caused by leaves that had gotten caught in the muffler. A dry chemical was used to extinguish the fire. There were no injuries.

Dorm Room Smoke Detector Alarm

Synopsis: Public Safety responded to a smoke detector alarm within Mary Lyon Residence Hall. It was determined that the smoke detector was activated due to dust. Workbox was sent to the residence hall.

Synopsis: Public Safety officers observed an unknown male behaving erratically on Field House Lane and Chester Road. Institutional Vandalism
Date: Sunday, November 20, 2016

Location: McCabe Library
Synopsis: Shortly after the vigil in honor of Transgender Day of Remembrance, Public Safety officers responded to McCabe Library to investigate the report of vandalism found in the gender-neutral bathroom. The officers observed a swastika painted on the wall inside of the stall. The stall was secured and Facilities notified to remove the paint. This matter was referred to the Bias Response Team and is under investigation.
