Fire Alarm

Location: Mertz Residence Hall
Synopsis: Public Safety responded to a fire alarm within Mertz Residence Hall. There was smoke but no fire. It was determined that burned food activated the alarm.
Status: Cleared

Purchase/Consumption/Possession/Transportation of Liquor or Malt or Brewed Beverages

Date: Tuesday, February 16, 2016
Time: 04:36 AM
Location: Roberts Residence Hall
Synopsis: Public Safety, Swarthmore Police and Ambulance responded to Roberts Residence Hall for the report of an ill Swarthmore student. It was determined that the student was intoxicated and was transported to the hospital. The student will be cited for under age drinking.
Status: Cleared/arrest

Synopsis: Public Safety received a report from EVS about the theft of a college-owned radio. The value of the radio is unknown at this time. Matter under investigation.

Synopsis: Public Safety and Facilities responded to a fire alarm within a college-owned residence on Cedar Lane. There was no smoke or fire. It has not yet been determined what activated the alarm.

Synopsis: Public Safety received a report from a Swarthmore student about a vehicle accident off-campus involving a college-owned vehicle. There were no injuries. A police report was filed.

Synopsis: Public Safety responded to a college-owned residence for medical assistance. Medical attention was declined at this time.

Synopsis: Public Safety received a report that an authorized event had served liquor, which is in violation of College policy. The alcohol was confiscated. Matter referred to the Dean’s Office.

Synopsis: Public Safety responded to Parrish Hall for the report of loud music. The music was turned down without incident.
