Theft/Interior/Buildings

Date: Monday, March 9th

Time: 3:27pm

Location: Lamb Miller Field House

Synopsis: Public Safety received a theft report from a Swarthmore student regarding unreturned team equipment. The value of the equipment is $1,000.00. The matter is under investigation.

Status: Investigation

 

Fire Alarm

Date: Monday, March 9th

Time: 9:04pm

Location: Parrish Hall

Synopsis: Public Safety responded to a fire alarm within Parrish Hall. Upon arrival, it was determined that the alarm was activated due to burned food.

Status: Closed

 

Marijuana Possession

Date: Tuesday, March 10th

Time: 1:37pm

Location: Willets Residence Hall

Synopsis: Public Safety responded for the report from a college employee in reference to Swarthmore students smoking marijuana outside Willets Residence Hall. The students were identified. Matter referred to the Dean’s office.

Status: Dean’s Referral

 

Investigation

Date: Tuesday, March 10th

Time: 2:13pm

Location: McCabe Library

Synopsis: Public Safety responded to a community concern about writing within a stall inside the McCabe Library. Information on file for future reference.

Status: Investigation

 

Power Failure

Date: Thursday, March 12th

Time: 2:43pm

Location: 101 South Chester Road

Synopsis: Public Safety, Facilities, Swarthmore Police and Fire Departments and PECO responded to 101 S. Chester Road for downed electric wires along the exterior that had caused a fire. The building evacuated and there were no injuries. Power was shut off to the building and PECO was working to restore power.

Criminal Mischief

Date: Tuesday, March 10th

Time: 8:24pm

Location: Harvard Ave

Synopsis: Public Safety and Swarthmore Police responded to a Swarthmore staff member’s residence on Harvard Avenue for the report of vandalism done to their home. Matter under investigation.

Time: 11:31am

Location: Sproul Observatory

Synopsis: Public Safety responded to Sproul Observatory for the theft of hand lotion. The value of the lotion is $5. Matter under investigation.

Fire Alarm

Date: Saturday, March 14th

Time: 8:37pm

Location: Woolman Residence Hall

Synopsis: Public Safety responded to a fire alarm within Woodman Residence Hall. Upon arrival, it was determined that burned food had activated the alarm.

Status: Closed

 

Fire Alarm

Date: Sunday, March 15th

Time: 4:10pm

Location: LPAC

Synopsis: Public Safety responded to a fire alarm within the Lang Performing Arts Center. Upon arrival, it was determined that cooking had activated the alarm.

Status: Closed

 

Vehicle Accident

Date: Sunday, March 15th

Time: 6:41pm

Location: Benjamin West House

Synopsis: Public Safety took a report from a Swarthmore student who was involved in an accident off campus with a rental vehicle.

Status: Inactive
