Location: Clothier Hall
Synopsis: Public Safety received a report from a Swarthmore resident student about the theft of a college owned projection equipment from within Clothier Hall. The value of the equipment is $400. The matter is under investigation.
Status: Investigation

Time: 5:10 pm
Location: Clothier Fields
Synopsis: Public Safety responded to the Clothier Fields for the report of an unknown individual loitering. Upon arrival, the individual was identified and left campus without incident.
Status: Closed

 

Forcible Rape

Date: Monday, November 3
Time: 8:52 pm
Location: Swarthmore College Campus
Synopsis: A Swarthmore resident student reported to the Tutle IX Coordinator that they were sexually assaulted possibly on campus sometime during the Spring 2013 Semester. The matter is under investigation.
Status: Title IX Referral

 

Vehicle Accident

Date: Wednesday, November 5
Time: 9:53 am
Location: Baltimore Pike
Synopsis: Public Safety received the report from a college employee about a vehicle accident that occurred while off campus in a college owned vehicle. There were no injuries. Informaiton forwarded to appropriate offices.
Status: Closed

 

Vehicle Accident

Date: Wednesday, November 5
Time: 5:26 pm
Location: Dupont Lot
Synopsis: Public Safety responded to the Dupont Lot for the report of a hit and run vehicle accident. Upon arrival, it was determined that a college employee’s vehicle was struck and the other vehicle left the scene. The area was checked for a small black vehicle with negative results. Information on file for future reference.
Status: Inactive

 

Public Drunkenness/Medical Response

Date: Thursday, November 6
Time: 11:30 pm
Location: Clothier Hall
Synopsis: Public Safety, Swarthmore Police, and Swarthmore Ambulance responded to Clothier Hall for the report of an unconscious individual within the bathroom. Upon arrival, the individual was identified as a Swarthmore student and was taken to the hospital. Matter referred to the Dean’s Office.
Status: Dean’s Referral

Synopsis: Public Safety received the report of a theft from a lab within the Science Center. The matter is under investigation.

Theft/Golf Vehicle

Date: Friday, November 7
Time: 11:30 pm
Location: Heat Plant
Synopsis: Public Safety responded to the Heat Plant for the report of the theft of a golf cart. Upon arrival, the area was checked and the golf cart was found behind Sharples Dining Hall. The matter is under investigation.

Synopsis: Public Safety received an email from a Swarthmore resident student about the theft of items from a backpack that was left within Paces. The value of the items is approximately $180. The matter is under investigation.

Location: Off Campus Location/Brookhaven
Synopsis: A Swarthmore resident student reported to Public Safety about a vehicle accident that had taken place while driving a college owned vehicle off campus. There were no injuries. Information forwarded to appropriate offices.
Status: Closed

 

Fire Alarm

Date: Saturday, November 8
Time: 5:08 pm
Location: Women’s Resource Center
Synopsis: Public Safety responded to a fire alarm within the Women’s Resource Center. Upon arrival, there was no sign of smoke or fire. It was determined that the alarm was activated due to a student cooking.
Status: Closed

 

Noise Complaint

Date: Saturday, November 8
Time: 9:57 pm
Location: Willets Residence Hall
Synopsis: Public Safety responded to Willets Residence Hall for the report of loud noise. Upon arrival, several students were found in the hallway with loud music playing. The students were asked to leave the area and they complied.
Status: Closed

 

Possession of a Liquid Malt Brew

Date: Sunday, November 9
Time: 1:36 am
Location: Willets Residence Hall
Synopsis: Public Safety responded to Willets Residence Hall for the report of a Swarthmore resident student in need of medical assistance. Upon arrival, it was determined that the student was intoxicated. The matter has been referred to the Dean’s Office.
Status: Dean’s Referral

 

Possession of a Liquid Malt Brew

Date: Sunday, November 9
Time: 1:47 am
Location: Mary Lyons 4
Synopsis: Public Safety, Swarthmore Police, and Swarthmore Ambulance responded to Mary Lyons for the report of a Swarthmore resident student who was ill. Upon arrival, it was determined that the student was intoxicated. The student was cited for underage drinking.
Status: Cleared/Arrest
