Is it true that ML will be phased out of use as a residential hall?

Not exactly. According to Housing Coordinator Liz Derickson, there has been a proposal to stop using the basement of ML (not the entire dorm), except in emergency housing situations. This is, not surprisingly, a result of the recent decision to build the new dorm next to Alice Paul. As of this writing, there has been no final say on the future of ML basement.
