Synopsis: Public Safety and Facilities responded to a fire alarm in the Women’s Resource Center. There was smoke but no fire. lt was determined that the alarm was activated due to cooking.

Synopsis: Public Safety received a report of a stolen keg of beer from the exterior of Paces Lounge. Matter under investigation.

Synopsis: Public Safety responded to the report of an elevator malfunctioning in Parrish Hall. The elevator was tested and no malfunction could be identified. Facilities notified.

Location: Palmer Residence Hall

Synopsis: Public Safety responded to the report of the odor of marijuana in Palmer Residence Hall. The odor of marijuana could be detected but the source was unknown. Matter under investigation.

Synopsis: Public Safety and Facilities responded to Pearson Hall for the report of an individual inside an elevator that was malfunctioning. The individual was extricated. Facilities notified.

Synopsis: Public Safety responded to the report of issues with One Card access to 101 South Chester Road. It was determined that the building was without power and this was part of the power failure that had affected the campus and borough.

Synopsis: Public Safety responded to a fire alarm in David Kemp Residence Hall. There was no smoke or fire. It was determined that the alarm was activated due to cooking.

Synopsis: Public Safety responded to a hang up call from an emergency phone in Worth Residence Hall. Upon arrival, it was discovered that Swarthmore students were participating in unauthorized drinking games in the hallway of Worth Residence. Matter referred to the Dean’s office.
