What he’s done:

At the Centennial Conference Championships for men’s golf, Damerla was the highlight of the weekend for the Garnet. He tied for second overall at the tournament after leading the pack going into the final day. He shot a 227 overall for the weekend, and his performance was enough to get him named the Centennial Conference’s Rookie of the Year.

How he felt going into last weekend’s tournament:

“I didn’t do anything different to prepare for this tournament from what I’ve always done to get ready. I just tried to be confident in all parts of my game and really wanted to make sure that my putting was in good shape because that’s what always makes the biggest difference in big events. I was honestly not feeling that great going into the tournament just because my last few rounds leading up to it hadn’t been as good as I’d hoped, but when I got on the course, I just tried to shut that out and focus on each individual shot without worrying about the results.”

Favorite career moment:

“Winning Rookie of the Year and being named All-Conference is a new favorite career moment. But prior to this, winning the League Championship with my team during my senior year of high school is the one that stands out the most because it was the only year that we had to work really hard to win it, and we were able to come out on top despite some adversity during the season.”

Favorite TV show:

“White Collar and House of Cards are my two favorites. It’s tough to choose between them.”

If we’ve talked in the last year, you probably know I’m in marathon training. For almost a year, I’ve maintained a weekly 40-mile-plus training schedule. It’s something I’m consistent about because I love the hobby. I don’t run for physical gains or

As a fervent member of Haruki Murakami’s cult following, my interest was piqued when I learned of his self-coined “somewhat of a memoir” focused on his running journey. I first encountered this book much, much after its 2007 release because it is
