i20, an organization for international students, requested a total of $500 in funding for a speaker event. The speaker will be given an honorarium of $200, and $300 will be used to purchase supplies for the event. i20 will send a representative to SBC office hours to receive a check for the speaker; i20 will also obtain a receipt with the speaker’s signature.

Spring Budgeting Discussion

The student organization charter application deadline was moved back to April 3, 2016. As a result, spring budgeting will take place toward the middle of April. The tentative dates for proposal meetings are April 15, 16, and 17; deliberations will occur the week after. Emails regarding SBC’s mentoring system (i.e. budgeting assistance) will be sent out soon, with a treasurers’ meeting taking place in late March.
