The Daily Gazette is looking to hire an assistant webmaster and photographers! Job descriptions for each position are posted below.

As always, we are seeking new writers for any and all of our sections. Writers can choose to take stories assigned on a weekly basis or generate their own ideas and content.

Photographers volunteer for and receive assignments to cover campus events on a weekly basis. Interested photographers should send 4-5 samples of their photography to Natasha Chak (schak1@swarthmore.edu) and Vishnu Gupta (vgupta1@swarthmore).

The Assistant Webmaster works closely with the Webmaster to maintain and improve the Daily Gazette website and the Reserved Students Digest. Tasks include: squashing design bugs, brainstorming and implementing website improvements, designing and developing microsites for longform journalism projects, and approving and managing RSD posts and listserv subscription requests.

Required qualifications:
-Website development or hand-coded website design experience
-Working knowledge of HTML/CSS
-Enthusiasm for web standards & best practices

Recommended qualifications:
-Working knowledge of responsive design techniques
-Working knowledge of Javascript/jQuery
-Experience with WordPress, especially custom themes
