MEN’S SOCCER: Garnet Wins First Ever ECAC Southern Division Championship

SWARTHMORE, Pa. – Swarthmore won their first ECAC Division III Southern Region Men’s soccer Championship in a 3-2 thrilling overtime game against Frostburg State on Sunday afternoon at Clothier Field. Brendan Grady ’08, Stu Leon ’09 and Evan Nesterak ’09 all scored one goal for the Garnet. Following the game senior captain Brendan Grady was awarded with the Most Outstanding Player award for his efforts during the championship game.

WOMEN’S SOCCER: Julia Wraps Up ECAC Sweep!

GROVE CITY, Pa. – Sophomore Julia Luongo put home the game-winner in the fifth shootout round and the Garnet took home the 2007 East Coast Athletic Conference South Region Championship. Cait Mullarkey ’09 was named Most Outstanding Player of the tournament following the championship match.
