On a bright Sunday morning a crowd of students, parents and professors gathered at Crum Henge to watch several teams attempt to sail their homemade crafts down the Crum Creek at the annual Crum Creek Regatta. Presided over by Commodore Martin Warner, complete with naval uniform and plumed hat, the race began as an intense competition but quickly turned into a walk in the park for the crew of the winning craft, the “Mamma Mia!” which, thanks to the efforts of its intrepid crew – Annika Bockius-Suwyn ’10, Ben Yelsey ’11, Andrew Zimmerman ’11 and Brendan McVeigh ’11 – came in far ahead of the other competitors. After climbing out of the frigid creek, the participants were rewarded with hot chocolate, blankets and Regatta T-shirts while Warner announced the recipients of the various prizes.
