Time: 01:00 PM

Location: Harvard Avenue

Synopsis: Public Safety, Swarthmore Police, and an ambulance responded to Harvard Avenue for the report of an injured individual. The individual was not affiliated with the College. They were transported to the hospital for further treatment and evaluation.

Synopsis: Public Safety received information from a motorist who was concerned with an individual directing traffic on campus. The appropriate office was contacted and no further action was required.

Time: 07:00 PM

Location: Cornell Library

Synopsis: Public Safety responded to Cornell Library for an activated fire alarm. There was no smoke or fire, and it was determined that the alarm had malfunctioned. Facilities was notified.

Synopsis: Public Safety, Swarthmore Police, and the Highway Department responded to a fallen tree on Elm Avenue. The tree was removed and the street cleared.

Location: Willets Residence Hall

Synopsis: While on patrol, Public Safety observed a room within Willets Residence Hall with a covered smoke detector. The officers investigated and spoke with the occupant. The matter was referred to the Dean’s Office.

Synopsis: Public Safety responded to Parrish Hall for the report of graffiti. The graffiti was removed, and the matter is under investigation.

Synopsis: Public Safety received information that a student was inappropriately touched at a social event. The matter has been referred to the Title IX Office.

Synopsis: While on patrol, Public Safety observed a Swarthmore student fall. lt was determined that the student was intoxicated. Upon evaluation, no further medical treatment was needed, and the student was transported to their residence hall. The matter was referred to the Dean’s office.

Synopsis: Public Safety responded to Worth Residence Hall for the report of loud music. The room was identified and the student turned the music off. The matter was referred to the Dean’s Office.

Dorm Room Smoke Detector Alarm

Date: Friday, December 08, 2017

Time: 01:50 AM

Location: Wharton Residence Hall

Synopsis: Public Safety responded to Wharton Residence Hall for an activated smoke detector. There was no smoke or fìre, and the cause for the alarm could not be determined. The detector was reset without incident and Facilities was notified.

Synopsis: Public Safety responded to Danawell Residence Hall for an activated fire alarm. There was no smoke or fire, and there was no identified cause for the alarm. Facilities was notified.

Synopsis: Public Safety responded to Wharton Residence Hall for the report of an ill Swarthmore student. It was determined that the student was intoxicated and in need of further evaluation and treatment. The student was transported to the hospital and was cited for underage drinking.
