SwatNet Sensations: The Viral Issue

February 23, 2012

Editor’s note: This article was initially published in The Daily Gazette, Swarthmore’s online, daily newspaper founded in Fall 1996. As of Fall 2018, the DG has merged with The Phoenix. See the about page to read more about the DG.

With swassip, Swattie Bodies, and Swatmemes popping up — just to name a few — we wanted to find out who else has gone viral. In this special issue on SwatNet Sensations, we collected stories from across campus, from Tumblr’ed ice cream to 24-hour journalism, to find out how students and faculty are stretching bandwidth and short-circuiting outlets all over the place.
