MEN’S SOCCER: Thrope, Tibbetts Earn Weekly Honors

SWARTHMORE, Pa. – Swarthmore seniors Yoi Tibbetts and Jason Thrope earned weekly honors from the Centennial Conference and the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) this week. Tibbetts was selected as the Centennial Conference Offensive Player of the Week while Thrope was named Centennial Co-Defensive Player of the Week and E.C.A.C Defensive Player of the Week for the Division III South Region.

GOLF: Weston Finds Cozy Digs at Bent Creek

LITIZ, Pa. – Swarthmore freshman Paul Weston cracked the top 20 at the Bent Creek Invitational hosted by Franklin & Marshall Monday afternoon at the Bent Creek Country Club.

MEN’S TENNIS: Kelm Posts Upsets at the ITA Fall Regionals

FREDERICKSBURG, Va. — Swarthmore freshman Zak Kelm defeated Thomas Kinrade of Haverford, a regionally-ranked opponent, advancing to the round of 16 in the Championships draw at the 2008 ITA Fall Regionals this past weekend on the campus of the University of Mary Washington. Kelm also teamed with classmate Stephen Youngblood to win twice in doubles action, reaching the Championship quarterfinals.

VOLLEYBALL: Mules Trot Past Garnet

SWARTHMORE, Pa. — Swarthmore outside hitters Jen Wang and Genny Pezzola tallied 17 kills apiece but it was not enough to down visiting Muhlenberg Tuesday night. The Mules rallied after a game-one loss, winning 3-1 (23-25, 25-23, 25-21, 25-22) over the Garnet in Centennial volleyball action at Tarble Pavilion.
