Cross Country: Corbett Aids Team in 2nd Place Finish
DOYLESTOWN, Pa. — At the Delaware Valley Cross Country Invitational Meet, Swarthmore junior Nyika Corbett finished third overall to help the Garnet women’s cross country team place second as a team. The Garnet men completed the day finishing eighth overall on Saturday morning.

Field Hockey: Stone Collects Two Goals in Season-Opener
MADISON, N.J. – Swarthmore field hockey (1-0) opened their season with a last-minute goal from Natalie Stone ’09 to win 4-3 over Roanoke (0-1) at the Drew Fall Festival on the campus of Drew University Saturday afternoon.

Men’s Soccer: Weimer Saves the Day
SWARTHMORE, Pa. – As a result of the limited chances, Swarthmore and Richard Stockton saw its Saturday match ended in a double-overtime tie. Swarthmore goalie Zach Weimer ’10 kept the Garnet in the game with two jaw-dropping saves.

Women’s Soccer: Garnet Sing Same Old Tune in Season Opener
SWARTHMORE, Pa. – For the 13th consecutive season, the Swarthmore women’s soccer team opened up with a victory, this time getting two goals apiece from freshman Samantha Song and sophomore Megan Colombo to defeat Farmingdale State 5-0 at Clothier Field Saturday afternoon.

Volleyball: Swarthmore Drops Pair in Central Pa.
YORK, Pa. – Swarthmore senior Jen Wang posted a team-high 26 kills while freshman Genny Pezzola added 26 digs as the Garnet fell to Elizabethtown (3-0) and McDaniel (3-1) at the York Quad on Saturday.
