WOMEN’S SOCCER: Colombo Aids Garnet Offense with Hat-Trick
SWARTHMORE, Pa. – A five-star match-up turned into a 4-0 win for the Swarthmore women’s soccer team (11-1-0, 6-1-0 CC) on Wednesday night when the Ursinus Bears (9-4-2, 5-1-1 CC) visited Clothier Field. Megan Colombo ’11 recorded her first hat-trick of her collegiate career. Kelsey Cline ’11 finished off the game scoring for Swarthmore when she scored off a rebound.

Peterson Named Conference Player of the Week
SWARTHMORE, Pa. – Swarthmore midfielder Kirsten Peterson (Fenton, Mich./ Powers Catholic) was selected as the Centennial Conference Offensive Player of the Week announced Monday, Oct. 15th.

FIELD HOCKEY: Garnet Fall to Bears
SWARTHMORE, Pa. – The sixth ranked Ursinus Bears played liked defending national champions beating Swarthmore 10-0 on Wednesday night at Clothier Field.

MEN’S SOCCER: Garnet Continue Win Streak
READING, Pa. – Swarthmore sophomore midfielder Dylan Langley scored his first two goals of the season as the Swarthmore men’s soccer team defeated Alvernia 3-1 Wednesday afternoon in non-conference action. Evan Nesterak ’09 was also credited with a goal during the second half when he received a pass from Stu Leon ’09. The Garnet’s third straight victory improves their record to 9-2-3 while Alvernia drops to 5-10-1.

Sutcliffe Named Conference Player of the Week
SWARTHMORE, Pa. -Swarthmore senior goalkeeper Ryan Sutcliffe was selected as the Centennial Conference Defensive Player of the Week, as announced on Oct. 15th. It is his fourth weekly honor and second time the Centennial has recognized his efforts.
