The last week of classes is upon us. After a long, LONG semester of work and stress, it has come time to bid a farewell to Swarthmore for those who will not be here over the summer. The Infinite Playlist wishes you all the best of luck on your final papers, exams, and projects. Let’s finish it up and get the hell out of here. Here we go. Cheers:
To the Last Weekend:
1. “Gentleman” by Psy
Psy’s latest single. I have to say I’m a fan. He does what he’s good at: making catchy K-Pop singles with music videos full of satire. Swing them hips.
2. “Yung Rapunxel” by Azealia Banks
A new single by the artist that brought you “212”, “Yung Rapunxel” drops the beat low and makes you want to rock your body.

3. “A Little Party Never Killed Nobody” by Fergie (Feat. Q-Tip & GoonRock)
Straight off the new The Great Gatsby (2013) soundtrack, this is song will make you want to party all night long. Let Fergie take you to a neo-1920 night at Gatsby’s—where the partying never ends.

To the Last Days:
4. “Next Year” by Two Door Cinema Club
Although the year is ending and you’re excited for summer, you might have reflected back on situations you would have changed. For underclassmen, remember: there is always next year.
5. “The End” by The Doors (Dirty South Mix)
Once when I was clicking around YouTube, I found this great electronic remix of The Door’s “The End.” This trance song is truly a gem that you can lose yourself in.
6. “Home” by Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros (Party Supplies Remix)
This is definitely one of my favorite remixes. Throwing some drumbeats into this song definitely made it more festive. I definitely remember jamming to this while packing last semester before I headed home.

To the Class of 2013:
7. “How It Ends” by DeVotchKa
From the Little Miss Sunshine soundtrack, I believe this song captures the bittersweet sound of the acceptance that this is indeed the end of the Class of 2013’s undergraduate career. But since you already know how it will end, why not take a step into something new.
8. “It’s Time” by Imagine Dragons
Yes, I know. This song might be “overplayed,” but this song still makes me feel brand new/motivated to conquer the world after each listen. Give it a try when you head out into the new world.
9. “Time to Pretend” by MGMT
The lyrics “This is our decision, to live fast and die young. We’ve got the vision, now let’s have some fun” could not be any truer. Excluding the “die young” part, I agree that you should have some fun after four long years in college. Class of 2013, you definitely deserve it.
To the Summer:
10. “The Summer” by Coconut Records
After getting over the fact that this semester is ending, let’s start getting into the summer mood! Coconut Records’ “The Summer” is literally summer in a song. From its relaxing beats to melodic chimes, let this song take you to the sunny days that lie ahead.
11. “A Summer Wasting” by Belle and Sebastian
Another summer-esque song, “A Summer Wasting” by Belle and Sebastian transports you to a breezy sunny day where you can nap your days away with some much-needed R&R.
