Legacy Satisfaction Services with Ben Ellentuck

February 24, 2011

Editor’s note: This article was initially published in The Daily Gazette, Swarthmore’s online, daily newspaper founded in Fall 1996. As of Fall 2018, the DG has merged with The Phoenix. See the about page to read more about the DG.

The Gazette now features (usually) weekly shows from the student radio station WSRN. The shows are picked by the WSRN Board. You can find podcasts of all the student shows on WSRN’s site, or listen live online or on 91.5 FM.

Ben Ellentuck ’14 had this to say about his show Legacy Satisfaction Services:

“The show is essentially a combination of guided meditation and breathing/centering exercises, various meditative musical tracks (ranging from calming piano-based compositions to Native American flute music to Tibetan singing bowls), astrology/horoscope readings, and various life counseling services designed to transform you into the You you want to be. Some poetry too. All quite Zen.

“The show is hosted by Benevolence Ellentuck-Ellentuck, Zen Buddist practitioner and licensed psychic, who leads all exercises.

“The show was borne of the urge to help members of the community lead more balanced lives in the midst of classes, work, and ‘stress.’ The show aims, deceptively simply, to transport the listener to a more present, grounded state.

“Stay tuned in the coming weeks for special guest hosts, call-ins, and perhaps even a seance or two…”
