MEN’S SOCCER: Evan, Almighty Garnet Win in Allentown

ALLENTOWN, Pa. — Garnet senior forward Evan Nesterak scored in the 18th minute and the 17th-ranked Swarthmore men’s soccer held on to defeat hometown Muhlenberg 1-0 in Centennial men’s soccer action Wednesday night. With their eighth win and a Johns Hopkins loss at Gettysburg, Swarthmore clinches the top seed and right to host the upcoming Centennial Conference Championships.

FIELD HOCKEY: Fords Rally Past Garnet on Senior Day

SWARTHMORE, Pa. – Garnet senior Sarah Reynolds scored in her final home game as the Swarthmore field hockey team fell to rival Haverford, 4-3, in a Centennial Conference contest on Wednesday night at Clothier Field.

WOMEN’S SOCCER: Garnet Women Clinch Third CC Playoff Berth on Senior Night

SWARTHMORE, Pa. — The Garnet women’s soccer team hit every part of the goal Wednesday evening, but could not get one in the net, settling for a 0-0 double overtime tie with Haverford. With the draw, Swarthmore clinches its third consecutive Centennial Conference playoff berth.

SWARTHMORE, Pa. — Swarthmore senior Cait Mullarkey was selected to the ESPN the Magazine Academic All-District II women’s soccer team, as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). Mullarkey is a first-team selection and will move onto the national ballot.

VOLLEYBALL: Swat Volleyball Topped by Fords

SWARTHMORE, Pa. — Garnet outside hitter Genny Pezzola posted a match-high 12 kills, along with 13 digs, as the Swarthmore volleyball team dropped a hard-fought 3-0 decision to Haverford on Wednesday night in Tarble Pavilion.
