WOMEN’S SOCCER: Swarthmore Mills Smooth Win Over Owls

SWARTHMORE, Pa. — Garnet sophomores Elizabeth Mills and Hannah Purkey scored goals as Swarthmore defeated Bryn Mawr 2-0 in Centennial women’s soccer action Thursday night at Clothier Field. It is the 13th consecutive victory for Swarthmore (8-2, 4-1 CC) over the Owls.

FIELD HOCKEY: Devils Stymie Swat Hockey

CARLISLE, Pa. — The Dickinson field hockey team scored two goals in each period on their way to a 4-0 win over visiting Swarthmore in Centennial Conference action Saturday afternoon. The Garnet, playing their fifth road contest in six opportunities, slip to 5-9 overall and 1-5 in the Centennial despite seven saves from goalie Katie Ashmore ’11.

ALLENTOWN, Pa. — Swarthmore senior Dan Hodson ran fifth out of 180 competitors at the DeSales Invitational, leading the Garnet men’s cross country team to a fifth-place finish on Saturday morning.

SWARTHMORE, Pa. — Garnet senior forward Evan Nesterak scored twice to lead Swarthmore (9-2-1) to a 3-1 win over Centennial-foe Ursinus in men’s soccer action at Clothier Field Saturday night.
