MEN’S SOCCER: #23 Garnet Fly Over Eagles

ST. DAVID’S, Pa. – 23rd-ranked Swarthmore (3-0-1) picked up their third win of the season a 2-1 decision over Eastern (2-3) on a sunny Wednesday afternoon. Garnet goals were picked up by senior Ladule Lako Lo Sarah and junior Dylan Langley (the game winner).

VOLLEYBALL: Greyhounds Edge Out Garnet

BETHLEHEM, Pa. — The Swarthmore volleyball team rally fell short at Moravian Wednesday afternoon as the Greyhounds held off the Garnet 3-2 (25-20, 22-25, 25-18, 22-25, 16-14) in non-conference action. Swarthmore freshman Genny Pezzola led the team with 17 kills, 19 digs and four aces while junior setter Kearney Bangs handed out 36 assists. Senior Jen Wang added 13 kills while freshman Hillary Santana posted 15 digs.

WOMEN’S SOCCER: Mills Named CC Offensive Player of the Week

LANCASTER, Pa. — Swarthmore sophomore midfielder Elizabeth Mills was selected as the Centennial Conference Offensive Player of the Week announced Monday, Sept. 8. Mills scored both goals in a 2-0 victory over Albright on Sept. 5. She leads the team with four goals this season, a career-best.

FIELD HOCKEY: Neumann/Swarthmore Game Re-Scheduled

ASTON, Pa. — Due to the heavy rain conditions, the Swarthmore vs. Neumann field hockey game that was orginally scheduled for Tuesday, September 9 has been postponed. The game has been rescheduled for October 2 at 4:00 p.m.
