WOMEN’S SOCCER: Mills Produces Two Scores, Garnet Remain Undefeated

SWARTHMORE, Pa. — Swarthmore sophomore Elizabeth Mills scored both goals in a 2-0 Garnet victory over Albright in non-conference women’s soccer action at Clothier Field Friday night. Swarthmore (3-0) ran its unbeaten streak to six games and have yet to give up a goal in 2008.

VOLLEYBALL: Garnet Pick Up First Victory on Tour de Maine

WATERVILLE/BRUNSWICK, Maine — Swarthmore senior outside hitter Jen Wang posted a team high 52 kills while freshman Genny Pazzola averaged nearly 19 digs over three matches in a weekend trip to Maine. The Garnet picked up the season’s first victory at the seventh annual Colby Invitational, a 3-2 (21-25, 25-23, 22-25, 29-27, 16-14) decision over Bates, before dropping the afternoon match, 3-1 (25-21, 25-23, 26-28, 25-16), to host Colby. The Garnet completed the weekend at Bowdoin, falling 3-1 (19-25, 25-17, 25-19, 25-16) despite 14 kills from Pezzola.

MEN’S SOCCER: Seniors Kick Garnet To Win Over Seahawks

SWARTHMORE, Pa. — 24th-ranked Swarthmore men’s soccer team (2-0-1) continued their unbeaten streak, downing St. Mary’s [Md.] (1-2-1) 5-1 on Sunday afternoon at Clothier Field. It was a sucessful day for three seniors as Evan Nesterak, Ladule Lako Lo Sarah and Jason Thrope (first career) all notched goals for the Garnet.

WOMEN’S TENNIS: Garnet Tennis Makes Fall Impression

SWARTHMORE, Pa. — Junior Rachel Wallwork won a pair of singles matches and teamed with Rose Durbin to reach the consolation doubles final at the Swarthmore Invitational.
