VT tragedy claims 33 lives
On Monday morning, a deadly shooting rampage took place on the campus of Virginia Tech, in which an armed gunman idenified as 23-year-old senior Cho Seung-Hui claimed 33 lives in two separate waves of violence. Fatalities were concentrated in a dormitory and academic building where the gunman lined students up against a wall and shot them. Other students, finding exit doors chained from the inside, resorted to jumping through windows in a desperate attempt to escape.
