Thefts in Wharton over break
Wharton residents returned from winter break dismayed to find that some of their newly renovated rooms had been robbed.
The majority of thefts occurred on AB second, where students reported a number of missing belongings including two laptops, two sets of speakers, a bowl of change and cash. Video games and another laptop were also stolen from AB first and CD.
“We were all pretty shocked,” said Housing Coordinator Liz Derickson, adding that the college takes security “very seriously.”
